The Tension Rises
May 10th 2006 05:11
That week passed somewhat uncomfortably. Taffy, while clearly still attracted to Mr. X and remarking frequently on his prodigious sexual prowess, tempered this with a surprising number of wishes for his sudden and painful death. It seemed she had discussed the matter with a friend, and after some thought they decided that the simplest solution was to push him under a bus.
I was somewhat alarmed to hear all this. She also warned me that if I should ever leave her for him, my house would be burned down and she would probably kill us both in our sleep.
After all, she knows where we live.
Mr. X, while clearly still attracted to her, physically that is, was disturbed to note that she seemed possessed of an inveterate hatred of all men, and considered her a bad influence on me. Not that I hate all men, since I do remain quite fond of a few- but he was concerned that I might suddenly convert to the cliché man-hating lesbian. He wondered aloud whether to attribute her rage to childhood abuse.
This was completely unfair. After all Taffy is happily abuse-free, and she had mentioned, after we slept with Mr. X, that she wasn’t sure how any woman could swear off men altogether- there was some kind of biological instinct still compelling her. I quickly agreed, since I wasn’t quite willing yet to swear off Mr. X.
This was clearly a classic case of love/hate operating. It might make for potentially fantastic sexual chemistry, but by the time we all met again it was going to end in tears.

Unless you like pies, of course...

But I like pies, too, secretly.
Your title graphic is sweet... did you design it, or is it from somewhere?
what do I like? I was going to crack a joke about liking 'hair pie', but that would be infantile...
