The Lost Or/And Suppressd (& Sublimated) Female Libido

June 2nd 2007 09:02
For many researchers and health experts have been prompted to ask what is happened to the female libido and where has it gone. Instead of focusing on what can be done to get back the female libidio and increasing the female libido drived, focus should most importantly be placed on what is suppressing the female libido. Maybe it is not about what has happended to libido or where it has gone but what is preventing it from being released and expressed. In sum making the debate more about releasing the female libido from the inner wounds of whatever it is that is preventing it from being made visible. As Freud and Jung maintained the libidio inevitably always exists the point is that it can become hidden whereby it not made visible that results in it not being used or acknowledged by the conscious. So it becomes part of the unconcious instead of the subconcsious and conscious. Making it tainted unearthed and unused. As the libidio must be released and not suppressed for it to be made visible. Accordly maybe the libidio is never lost but just not made visable. That is because the female libidio can be left in sublimated state that is left unattended to.

I'd suspect that men just aren't that good at getting the female libido going...

Questions about the female libido are really irritating sometimes. Why? Because the answer is simple, and is stated over and over in the bedrooms of women all over the world: This is what I need _________. Ladies, fill in the blank.

The problem is that once we tell our men what we need, we usually don't get it. Our need becomes one of those things on his "to do" list...the things that he takes forever getting to, while we wait. Then the list gets old, he forgets about it, never even tries to "implement" any of the ideas his lady gave him, but remembers to come crawling into bed lookin' for good lovin'. She's frustrated, he has to try to remember what she told him...it's a neverending cycle.

It is so easy, I mean really easy, for a man to get satisfaction...for a woman it is not the same. If women could get off as easy as guys we would be looking for sex uncontrollably too. Women are more complex, and a lot of guys don't want to take the time to do the things that we might need...so we say "no thanks". It's easier to satisfy yourself sometimes when you are a woman.

Unless a lady has a physical problem or something of that nature, THE FEMALE LIBIDO IS ALIVE AND WELL...most guys just can't handle it, so we keep it to ourselves.

Hi Sarah,

This is an interesting question ... as far as I know the libido of women in third world countries is alive and kicking, no probs. there.

But in the developed, affluent west, I blame consumerism, pollution and coffee.

1. Consumerism - makes people greedy and places them outside nature. Hence women don't know what they want anymore, because most of them want it all... 'it' being someone else’s dream of "success." If a woman doesn't know what she wants, then a man cannot make her happy. Men need to be able to make women happy, it's as basic as it gets.

2. Pollution - generated in consumerism and needed to accumulate more of the "success" that wasn't required in the first place. As women are inexorably bound to an ailing planet, GM crops and chemical additives... the thirst for new life dimishes.

3. Coffee - Never meant to be drunk by women. I have read extensive research papers on how coffee really damages the ovaries and all the associated 'feelings' and 'functions' that go with them. Add an increase in cigarettes to the mix, and you have a huge recipe for decreasing libido.

Who can be bothered with so man(y) stimulants, suppressants and chemical dependence!

In India, for example, the women don't even eat meat.. . no problems there with libido issues.

A great post, Sarah .. and one I may well expand upon - maybe through a poem? ... how interesting Orble can be.

Keep up the good work.

Lilla ...

Morning Sarah,

Interesting post you have here. I suppose time also has something to do with it. So much rushing here, there and everywhere... why should it stop when it comes to the bedroom?

And let`s face it sometimes with all that rushing who can really be bothered......

People need to s.l.o.w. d.o.w.n. a.n.d. l.e.a.r.n. t.o. e.n.j.o.y. t.h.e. r.i.d.e. ..... hhmmm possibily a bad choice of words on my behalf ~wink~
